We offer a complete white metal casting and machining service for connecting rods, main bearings, and thrust bearings.Both direct cast and shell big end bearings, direct cast and shell main bearings, thrust bearings, split or one part bearings can be dealt with.Solid "white metal bearings" can also be manufactured. If necessary new backing shells can be manufactured.  Machining of connecting rods and in-line boring of main bearings is carried out to exacting standards.

If you have access to your own machining facilities we can supply 'as cast' bearings ready to be machined.All bearings are cast from new ingots HOYT 11R or 11Z3 as required; no white metal turnings are re-used.

 

Although it is principally vintage automotive bearings we deal with, we are happy to both repair and manufacture bearings for all types of applications - small industrial, agricultural and marine, including new manufacture.

And if you zoom-in on this bearing, you can actually see it's got a little groove in it if you compare it to this one. Because of that little groove, the string can actually sit right down into that koyo bearing and what that allows you to do is it allows the string to sit there and it won't get caught by the edge of the yo-yo quite as well and it also centers it so when you're doing tricks on the string, the yo-yo moves to one side or the other.
